Apple inspiration

On Friday I spend the day at the launch of a new apple education hub. It was a great opportunity for professionals to share some of the innovative ways in which iPads are being utilised in schools today.
Technology is fast moving and as educators we must make sure we do not get left behind. It is essential that the technology that our pupils are no so comfortable with is used in schools to enhance learning.
I have been inspired today by some wonderful educators, full of creative ideas for using this technology.
The money to pay for such technology will be hard to find as budgets are being cut and jobs are being lost. However, I will be spending some time this week looking into various grants that are available to support such innovation.
It would be nice to see government putting money into supporting real education with proper up to date equipment (after all if we compare how operating theatres have changed item last 100 years with how classrooms have changed it really shows how education up!).
Maybe then true innovation without the constraints that exist could have huge impact on the future of the next generation.
